Christmas extravaganza

The Hofstadter has some fun stuff in it, has been a while since I read it, in fact I think I only read about a third of it and put it away, should pick it up again. Anything that talks about Godel's incompleteness theorem can be no bad thing in my opinion.

So many interesting people have spoken well of this book over the years, Keith, that I've forgiven Hofstadter for all the wankers who've done the same! You are, naturally, one of the former rather than the latter.
Godel, escher, bach (insert appropriate dots above appropriate o's) is my father's favourite book. There is no higher praise.
